These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Nearby Expert website, mobile applications and services. By using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

About the Platform
Nearby Expert is a technology platform that connects customers with independent, third-party service professionals ("Experts"). We facilitate bookings but the actual services are performed by the Experts. Nearby Expert is not the provider of the underlying services.
Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
Bookings & pricing
Prices shown are estimates and may vary based on the actual scope of work, materials, and inspection at the site. Final pricing is confirmed before or upon completion of the service. You agree to pay all applicable charges for services you book.
Payments
Payments may be made through the in-app payment methods or as otherwise agreed. Applicable taxes and convenience fees may apply. Refunds, where applicable, are governed by our cancellation and refund policy.
Cancellations & refunds
You may cancel a booking before the Expert begins work. Cancellation fees may apply for late cancellations. If a service is not delivered as described, contact support for re-service or a refund as per our policy.
User responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, a safe working environment for Experts, and to treat professionals with respect. You must not misuse the Platform, attempt to defraud, or engage in unlawful activity.
Expert conduct
Experts are independent contractors, not employees of Nearby Expert. While we verify and rate Experts, you acknowledge that Nearby Expert does not guarantee the outcome of any service and is not liable for the acts or omissions of Experts beyond what is provided under our service guarantee.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nearby Expert shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or services booked through it. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.
Intellectual property
All content, logos, trademarks and software on the Platform are owned by or licensed to Nearby Expert and may not be used without our written permission.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for violation of these Terms or for any conduct we consider harmful to other users or the Platform.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Nearby Expert operates. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction.
